My Bio

First "bikes" were a couple of Vespa scoots that I ran on trail until I got my license and as soon as I got that ran all 200cc of it into the tarmac from RI to Fla. In the mid 70's I bought used XS 650's and took 'em around the country because I didn't have the bucks for CB 750's. So I am good with old twins but now that I am older I've got enough bucks to afford these 30 yr old bikes. Lo and behold I have discovered that I like a nice smooth powerband. And ol skool sohc chops is what always seemed really cool to me. I had a bobber with a 75 motor that I sold and a 78F stocker that I've kept. I've also a 76 Amen Springer but I can't seem to upload pics so if you want to see it go to the "view my images" link on the top left of this page.

My Occupation

Been a lot of things, from a pseudo academic to a writer and newspaperman. Had a fruit farm & deep sea fishing in Costa Rica for 4 years. But I paid the real bills working in printing, copying & graphics. Always worked on my own rides also, though I can not weld for shit. Only slightly better with electronics, sad to say.

My Hobbies

Collect antiquarian (i.e. "old") books, grow fruit trees (I kid you not), hang with good friends and my wife and work on my rides. In addition to the sohc's I have an XS 650 I bobbed.image
